I'm Chris, Welcome to my site!!
The filter I use for my battlefield photography comes from years of study of our Civil War, and that understanding flows through my camera with a passion.
I routinely explore our country's amazing battlefields and I can promise you, that every one of my battlefield photos is motivated by a good understanding of what happened right under my feet and of everything I can view at that moment when I press the shutter button.

I have had the great fortune and honor of having a number of my civil war photos published in support of Battlefield Perseveration and regional Tourism

Over the years, I have worked and managed American history and Civil War related Book & Gift Stores that were all located on historic battlefield ground.
The American History Company was a history related retail and service business located across the street from the visitor center in Fredericksburg. The entirety of old town Fredericksburg was part of the Battle of Fredericksburg. - (Founder and President)

This photo was part of a feature story in the Free Lance-Star in the mid 1990s.

The Museum Book & Gift store is located right behind the Fredericksburg National Battlefield Park Visitor's center directly on the Fredericksburg Battlefield. - (Regional Manager)

The Museum & Gift Store is located right on the First Day Chancellorsville battleground. - (Tourism Counselor)
"Historically Beautiful"
This photo is from my battlefield preservation fundraising effort in 2022.
I very much appreciated Danelle and the Fredericksburg Visitor Center for carrying my 2023 fundraising calendar "Historically Beautiful". It was a successful campaign and all net profits were donated to help save prime battlefield land in the Fredericksburg area.

"Final Update as of September 3, 2022.
As of today, we have raised $400.00 through the sale of my battlefield landscape photo calendar. Those funds have now been evenly donated to the American Battle Trust and the Central Virginia Battlefield Trust, to help save more historic and important land on the Chancellorsville battlefield in Spotsylvania, Va.
These donations are now part of 10.5 to 1 matching effort, making the funds we raised have an over $4,000.00 impact on the bigger preservation effort to save this local battlefield land.
You can also find some really good historic related content on some of my Facebook sites that I do for fun and the simple enjoyment of learning and sharing history. Thousands of followers since I started these sites and they are rapidly growing...
